My name is Amanda Backholm. I am a sociologist, development coach, certified yoga teacher, lecturer and entrepreneur. Since May 2021 I work as Head of Coaching at BeeHealthy.
Ever since I was little I have wanted to make the world better. The dream of saving the world has led me on many adventures: from acting on stage, to working at an orphanage in Ghana. From studying at University in Helsinki and Kula Lumpur, to interning at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and the UNHCR in Stockholm.
When I graduated in 2013 I had been working as a consultant for almost a year, supporting people and organisations with self-leadership, personal development and organisational strategy. I felt like I had really found my place. For the past eight years I have supported more than 700 professionals globally, and yes, everyday I feel I am part of making the world better!
I work as a coach because wellbeing, personal development, balance and performance are core values to me. I believe it is possible to live a life where we work in a way that is sustainable.
In 2020 I graduated as coach from Neuroleadership Group Finland, with a specialisation in brain based coaching. Neuroscience and the teachings of sustainable high performance are at the core of my way of working.
I believe in people and their ability to change and develop. I believe in you.
For many years, yoga was my personal getaway space, a way to get in touch with myself and my body. In 2014 I felt a strong desire to deepen my own practice and embarked on an amazing yoga teacher training with Satu Tuomela.
The world of embodied flow and yin made so much sense to me, and the training changed many parts of my everyday life, and my practice. During the training I got pregnant with my firstborn. Pre- and postnatal yoga became a natural way of me to make since of the changes in my body and mind.
I have been teaching yoga since 2017, continuously deepening my knowledge and offerings through trainings.
